In my humble opinion, this is the way a jeep SHOULD look — covered at least on the lower third with mud. What’s odd in this area are all the spotless, shining, squeaky clean jeeps. Why even have one?

I’ve not seen this type of Jeep Wrangler in Smith County before. It’s not a military vehicle, but It is manufactured in a WW II military fashion; the WW II U.S. Army star on the hood; the drab olive “GI” green.

What I like about this shot is the mud :- ) Looks like its been out in a rural road battle somewhere! it’s a jeep in its natural habitat.

I’m surprised there is enough of a nostalgia market for these types of jeeps, but it IS the 70th anniversary of WWII everyday until August of 2015, and the WW II vets are disappearing every day. There is a sort of honoring of those Vets and the character of the country, by vehicles such as this, I guess. Even so, it was a rarity to see it here.
